This immersive 12-week program focuses on applying XRPL blockchain technology to drive impact projects centered around the theme of regeneration. Each week delves into crucial aspects such as embracing the regenerative mindset, developing value propositions and prototypes, understanding tokenomics and impact metrics, navigating the XRPL ecosystem, and strategizing for systemic impact. The program also includes critical phases like mid-term pitch sessions and thorough business case analysis, culminating in a final pitch and closing celebration. Developers will engage deeply with XRPL to propel regenerative solutions forward and explore the intersection of blockchain and regeneration.

What is Regeneration?

Regeneration refers to a process of renewal, restoration, or rejuvenation, particularly in the context of environmental and ecological systems. It involves actively restoring and enhancing the health, functionality, and resilience of ecosystems, natural resources, and communities. Regeneration requires a holistic and systemic approach to create the conditions of health, for people and the planet to thrive within planetary boundaries. Applied to organizations, regenerative principles allow us to envision an economy in which businesses go beyond sustainability and do “less harm” to actively restore carbon and water cycles, positively contributing to biodiversity and social justice.

Why did we choose to focus on Regeneration for our first residency?

Sustainability is a vital pillar for the XRP Ledger blockchain. Many blockchains require large amounts of energy to process transactions and maintain the network. The XRPL, with its unique consensus algorithm, is designed to use as little energy as possible.

To launch the residency program, XRPL Commons proposes to go one step further and dedicate a program for those who want to challenge the current system with a regenerative mindset.
